To be eligable for .au domains, registrants must be:

  • an Australian partnership or sole trader;

  • a foreign company licensed to trade in Australia; or

  • an owner of an Australian Registered Trade Mark; or

  • an applicant for an Australian Registered Trade Mark ; or

  • an association incorporated in any Australian State or Territory; or

  • an Australian commercial statutory body.

 .com

This is a top level domain name extension and sells the best out of all the extension. If the world is your stage this is the most valuable domain extension for your business. You should always where possible register the .com domain name. This domain extension can be registered for up to 10 years.

 .net This is a very good extension, it is used to say we are on the Internet and for most serious companies this domain name extension would also be registered.
 .org A worldwide organisational domain extension that doesn't carry many restrictions.
 .co.uk
 .org.uk
The domain name for people marketing to those in the United Kingdom. There are very few restrictions on this extension.
 .biz

A newer extension on the Internet. This domain name extension has been warmly welcomed and is doing very well. It doesn't have many restrictions and it generally refers to a business online. This extensions is reasonably priced and can be registered for up to ten years.

 .info

This extensions is an abbreviation for the word information. This domain name extension can be very useful, reasonably priced and has very few registration restrictions.

Allowable characters:
English-language letters A -Z, the digits 0 - 9. Hyphens (-) may also be used eg: www.24-7.com.au. Domains cannot begin or end in a hyphen and cannot have two hyphens in a row. Spaces and special characters (such as !, $, &, ë, and so on) are never permitted. Domain names are NOT case sensitive. You may advertise your name in upper or lower case or a combination of both. Maximum length = 63 characters.
